It's been awhile since anyone wrote on a home charger for 2 vehicles. We're about to pull the trigger on a R1S. We'd like to swap my truck for an R1T if the R1S proves to be everything we hoped. Given the above, I'd like to tackle hardwiring a charger for both vehicles. Looks like the Grizzl-E Duo has made improvements. Any recommendations for 2 place chargers?

I wouldn’t hesitate to get the grizzl-e based on my two years with one of their single-plug units. Hopefully someone with a duo can chime in here.

One consideration to make, what time frame do you have on R1t purchase?
My understanding is that unless you are getting the new quad, everything on the lot at this time will have j1772 ccs charge port, but 2026+ models will have NACS port. This is probably one of the few instances that it really matters all that much. It would feel like a waste to spend money/time hardwiring a charger, just to have to use an adapter. Maybe you can get one with a plug of each? Either way would need to take into account.
Also don't discount the idea of 2 separate chargers. If you are always splitting between 2 vehicles, neither will be charging at amps high enough to justify hardwired. 2 separate chargers on 2 separate 1450 outlets will likely be cheaper and more modular in the long run. You have to take into account how your electric panel is set up, you may or may not have room.
The wife and I are facing similar decisions as initially I was dead set on a used gen 1 R1t quad, but now (post demo drive)she wants an r1s after we get a R1t. new dual motor is really tempting for both. I'll start my own thread for making that decision, but honestly hadn't even considered this factor until seeing your post.

I would hold off for a bit before deciding anything.
  1. It's not very likely that you need to charge both vehicles at the same time. Most people only need to charge once a week (or less) and a single charger with its 25 foot cord hard wired into the right spot in your garage or whatever would handle both of them
  2. as someone else said, 2025 and older models are J1772 whereas 2026+ are NACS. If you were to buy a charger today which would you buy? I (somewhat rashly) used my $750 gear store credit to buy the Rivian J1772 charger to go with my 2025 R1S and (even before I've gotten it installed) I'm somewhat regretting not just getting a NACS charger and leaving a $100 adapter semi-permanently attached.

Thanks everyone. We've been wanting to get an R1S for a while but wanted the industry to commit to a standard charging plug. The 2026 is finally our model year. We also want 800v and solid state but that's going to be a while. Squirrel: I think QS, VW, and Rivian are going to expand partnerships. Rivian big upgrade to solid state and 800v in 2028 :D.
We are test driving a R1S on Friday. There is currently a Tri in the correct color with NACS 1-2 weeks out.

There’s the Tesla Universal Wall Connector. Good design for switching between NACS and CCS.

They’re $650 but I bought an Open Box on eBay for $499 and see one now for $400.

Autel also does power sharing but that's two units to buy. I'm not sure how much a dual plug chargepoint unit costs. The other option if your panel is sufficient is run two circuits to the same spot. IE two #6 HH reds and blacks and a #10 EGC.

I can't imagine needing to charge both cars every night but I guess some people drive a lot. I only plug in once a week.

We have one charger (Chargepoint) and two EV's (over 300 mile range). Haven't had an issue in the last year with a tiny bit of planning with 25 miles/hr on a 14-50. Never had to charge at the same time, just needed a long enough cord or good garage placement.
