Listen, can't blame Jose. He monetize his YouTube as part of his LLC so his lease is a business expense. If I had more time, I'd make more videos. People do appreciate them when their helpful.

Got to put in the work, and bring some value. He's been lucky enough to make the required industry connections to be the source for this type of news and updates. Plenty of otherwise boring people have made out pretty when doing similar with Tesla youtube pages.

I don't have a huge following or high view rate when I was making videos (link in my signature) , the payout isn't much for lower level content creators. I hasn't been worth the effort and doesn't fit my life.

He Set-up website, runs multiple social media accounts, makes youtube videos ..so everything about his truck is business expense...it's playing the game better than us. More power to him, plus he's probably getting plenty of referral credits.

You do make a point, it is more of an overview, and I do plan to optimize these videos going into the future to make them shorter and more to the point, as requested by so many. That said, many do enjoy the longer, unedited videos showing it all, and I take no offense if you want to skip ahead, not watch, or ignore it completely.

I welcome any criticism, I'm my biggest critic.

I fast forwarded to what piqued my interest, PIN to drive. It seemed overly complicated having to use your cellphone for it. I know of several places where there is no cell reception.

Forget something extremely easy and user friendly to use such as plastering a keypad on display screen for user to enter PIN.

As I said before, Rivian, if you cannot talk to Tesla engineers on how things like this are done right and easy, perhaps buy a Tesla and go over it. And learn.

While I agree that it doesn't seem like the most useful implementation, it's erroneous to say that it requires a cell connection. For push notifications, yes, but for TOTP, you simply need the app, not a data connection.

The fact remains, it is a lousy implementation. Rivian needs to learn, copy from, imitate the master.

Anyone see this today? The update option is greyed out even though i have the fob with me in the vehicle

(I'm a connect+ subscriber but don't think that matters)
