Hi Everyone,

I took delivery of a 2025 R1T Gen. 2 Dual Max in early October and have 2 questions/issues for the forum experts.

1. I've been noticing about a 2.5% Vampire Drain over approximately 10-12 hour overnight period.
Does this sound normal for 40 degree overnight temps?

2. I've had to do 3 hard resets(hold left-most button and hazard) to fix GPS, front sensors and LTE networks not being available when I first power up and put it in Drive.

Has anyone else had to do these type of resets to solve these issues???

Thanks for your help with this.

That sounds about right. The interaction between unreliable parts, shoddy manufacturing and super buggy software makes for a bad user experience. Rivian has a monopoly on service and getting timely fixes can be frustrating. Sometimes they just shrug their shoulders.

All we can offer you in this forum is “thoughts and prayers.”

I've had to do my hair share of resets for various bugs on my gen 2. But they are becoming less frequent with every update. They seem to be addressing a lot of these bugs

As far as vampire drain, that sounds about right IF you have gear guard turned on and you are parked in a place with a lot of activity (like the side of a street or a busy parking garage). When I'm parked in a quiet place (or gear guard is turned off) I will get 0 vampire drain

I had very similar issues last month, though I have now turned off gear guard at home, and Installed the new update, Just noticed this morning that last night I had zero vampire drain. I had been having significant and concerning drain. Temps are also a bit warmer, in the mid 30s instead of the mid 20s, so not sure if it’s a combination of all of these things, but will continue to keep an eye on it

Solid advice. I presume you have switched to a Reliant Robin or something equally equivalent in reliability by now?

Happy to have a conversation over PM. Too many people whining about their imaginary problems to either make themselves feel better about buying something else or holding on to the one negative experience they've had. If we have this conversation here, all that will happen is unhelpful nonsense.
