2026.07 Software Update notes - features & fixes coming

I’ve had steering wheel vibrations on freeway speeds since i replaced my OEM tires. I took it to the SC once for service for this reason. I was told it was due to the AT tires I had installed- maybe in part but this confirms it’s more than just the tire.

I think it’s the lane-drift warning vibration this refers to.

Ok how in the hell do you do this with software?

Not that I’m complaining, because I was just being annoyed this morning by a vibrating steering wheel on the highway.

If they can fix that with software, it gives me some hope they can address some of the erratic suspension behavior I continue to have.

When the electric power steering thinks you are making inputs but it's bumps or oscillations in the road.

A surprise release of Rivian Assistant would be cool.

I have a feeling we already all have it - just lying dormant waiting for activation by VIN. There were some loaner vehicles running 2026.03 that had it and then it went away when word hit social media.

Maybe they are waiting for R2 to officially hit the street and then they turn it on everywhere?

I've experienced steering wheel vibration at highway speed on my Gen 2 Quad with the OEM Super Sport setup. Not bringing it to SC because for sure they're just going to say there's nothing they can do as I've exceeded the speed limit...

Can Rivian just remove Alexa already? It's trash and interferes with my other apps. Activating even though it's off, not letting me adjust sound for Spotify, etc.

My thoughts too. I drove an Equinox EV and Google Assistant is simply nicer and easier to use than Alexa. At least we see the light at the end of the tunnel for Google assistant.

They often make subtle changes without documenting them in their notes. For instance, they didn’t announce the reduction of the trip meter fonts in that last update. It just happened. HOPEFULLY, they will correct this and revert to the original, much more legible font size with this next update. I‘m going to be pissed off if they don’t.
