This is my first update since buying my new R1T. Super smooth - way better experience than our current BMW i4 and the Kia EV6 GT we had prior.

Seems like we here like to complain a lot but I give props to Rivian on this process. Smartly asked if I wanted to enable the memory setting for the assistant right away too.

Haven't seen this posted yet. Just got pushed to me

I received the notification. It would not install. The app says it's preparing for awhile, then it stops. R1S gen 2 Quad. It's plugged into a Level 2 charger. Reports good cellular and Wi-Fi connections.

Why can we see stoplights but not stop signs? Stop signs should be way easier to detect but this feature didn't make it to R1, just R2. The sooner R1 switches over to the new OS, the faster Rivian can stop wasting resources maintaining two different platforms.

ya I'm concerned about this split. confirmed that stop signs are not present in R1

Heard of the show and of the one or two really famous episodes (the one that's kind of a take on Star Trek for example), but I try to keep my sci-fi a little bit more hopeful or straight up fun ('Trek' and 'Wars' for the most part).

Still no update for me either. Did see 2026.32.0 today on a 1st Gen RIT Quad... Hope you like the R2 UI, because that is what the tester is currently running.

I haven’t heard of that coming to the R1, but that user interface is the only thing that I liked about the R2.

I hadn't either, but I just rode around the block in a R1 with it. Like everything else, it may not make it to primetime on that version of updates, but it looked polished enoough to me.

I like the R2 UI, some decent changes. Curious did you get to see any features in it? I’m hoping they add additional functionality to the scroll bars on the steering wheel. There are some things they can’t do but if we could scroll left and right to get to other features like the fan and temps it would be nice.
