I went with Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 275/60/20 but our winters aren't so bad. SLC probably requires dedicated legit winter tires, yeah? The Michelin X-Ice Snow was my runner-up but I skipped because it's too warm here in winter.
The Falken did well for me this winter in VT. Miles better (pun intended) than the 21's which were scary in the snow.

$550, very reasonable if you ask me.
Thanks. I was quoted 500 but a friend who owns a body shop told me to just rattle can them. If they are prepared properly they will look just as good and if they get scraped up it’s an easy fix. If I don’t like It I can do powder coat.

This, Menards (maybe local to Midwest area) has/had clearance on their Rustolium Tire Paint products (Black, Graphite and Clear Coat). $5/can. I found same conclusion that with good prep., paint will look good and a lot cheaper.

Any guidance on what proper prep would be to do that? Tempted to do the same but not sure where to start.

Wheels are done! I'm so tempted to install them today, but will wait until at least October. They came out better than expected, and the center caps match perfectly! TBD on vinyl Rivian logos, I might like them bare.

An interesting proposition they made when looking at my OEM 20" rims: powdercoat the staple section that a lot of us vinyl gunmetal or black with... Color matched launch green!

Thoughts?

Lots of YouTube videos on how to prep the wheels. I spent an hour today doing one wheel but it was the worst of the 4. I have lots of different mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hand tools to do the job. I expect about 4 or 5 more hours to prep all wheels. the prep is 90% of the work. I'm using Duplicolor flat black wheel paint. $13/can from advance auto parts.

It's worth every penny to me to have a shop do it. After degreasing, they said it was more work than expected and used 180 then 320 to get it good, and had to primer them. I think I've reached my limit of hobbies/DIY items and I'm willing to pay a pro for this. I'll stick to electrical and growing shiitakes ⚡?

Very wise, I wish I could develop that mind set. Too many tools and a work shop that is too big to allow it to go idle. Plus, it would take me longer to drop the wheels off and pick them up then to just do it myself. That's my argument for tire rotations and oil changes too......wait !! No more oil changes.

Well... I did it.

Question: my wheels came with TPMS; can the RAM sensors be programmed to work with the Rivian system? Or do you need the generic/off-brand ones?

Depends on the sensors and frequency. Rivian uses 433 Mhz frequency

Forest Green? Are you keeping the silver look or painting them?

Like @shap said, it depends. Check the Mhz, they may just sync up or you might be able to use a machine and clone them. Otherwise, it's pretty affordable to get new ones.

Yup, FG - gonna paint them bronze for a change of look. Trouble is if I mount the tires and the toms don't work, gotta take them off and replace the sensors. I'll take a closer look at the rims when I get outside again (tires already removed)

Can't wait to see! Sounds like a great combo.

Yeah take a look at your sensors first and if the Mhz is listed. I'm not sure how they age/retain charge so they might be due for new ones anyway.

My 2012 Dodge TPMS senders had dead batteries. I replaced with new senders. One wheel complete. 3 to go. I'm too cheap to buy new center caps so I painted the ones that came with the wheels. I now call the truck a Rivian GOAT. Still have not decided on tires.
