My favorite 0-60 experiences include the launch of the Rockin’ Roller Coaster, my BMW bike (around 3.5 sec) and of course the Rivian. People have different inner ear tolerances to acceleation, and the first few times you experience it, it can be disorienting but should not be black out territory.

it’s exhilarating every time!

Well I was showing off my Rivian R1s tri motor today, put it in sport mode and floored it. For a second thought I may actually pass out and felt dizzy and nausea afterwords for a bit. Anyone else experience this?
Truthfully I don't enjoy it at all, it gives me a nauseous feeling that stays with me for a little while. Others may enjoy it but I definitely do not.

I got nauseated just bedding the brakes in on my R1T Quad when it was new. Figured I would throw up if I did a full launch, so I never did. Full disclosure: I have had episodes of vertigo in the past.

Just traded in my Canyon Red Quad for a LA Silver Dual. Must finally be maturing...

So 2 summers ago after coming back from South America with covid, my son and I were trying to entertain ourselves without infecting other humans, and decided to go do acceleration tests on a marked quarter mile spot not far away.

What resulted was him needing to lay down and me having dizzy spells for 2 weeks.

So yes, I've made myself ill before from a launch test. I blamed covid at the time, but ...

The Rivian can subject you to around 1G of force during acceleration. Pretty much every car in existence can subject you to 1G of force during heavy braking events. So if you've ever in your life had to brake hard in a car before, then the g-forces that a Rivian subjects you to during acceleration are no greater than that. So if those events didn't make you "almost pass out", then Rivian acceleration shouldn't either.
