I was set on replacing my 2021 Q5 PHEV with a 2026 Q6/SQ6 but I thought a 2026 Q5 PHEV would do too. Both of them have the same software issues and are but ugly. Test drove the R2 last weekend and was impressed, would order one today if I could. Any other Audi drivers having similar thoughts?

Planning on replacing my 2016 a3 with an R2 if my email comes. Hoping it's before I have to dump money into the A3 which is worth almost nothing

I traded my '17 Q7 for a '24 R1T.

One of the worst trades I've ever made. Q7 was a flood damage vehicle and wasn't in the shop as often as my Rivian. Overall component and build quality was miles ahead on the Audi. Squeaks/rattles/noises were non-existent in the Audi, I have crap stuffed in just about ever interior panel of my Rivian to keep it from rattling. Suspension in the Rivian has sounded like a broken hay wagon since I bought it. Rivian has replaced everything this side of the frame under there, and is now telling me "Rivians are just clunky, this is how they sound".

I'm actively shopping a new vehicle now, I'm not even waiting out the end of my lease, effing hate this thing.

I have an APR A7 and it's a really solid car. I'd rate VAG vehicles right behind Toyota for reliability. Out of warranty Id say Audi will be cheaper to fix but not by much. Also have an older BMW and something is constantly breaking on that POS.

I have a Gen 1 R1S and it's been pretty good. Rivian has taken care of the minor issues I've had. It's a new car company so I wasn't expecting 100 years of car building experience off the bat.

Plan to replace my S5 with an R2. Audi's current, very uninspiring offerings are helping me make that decision to move on from them when my lease ends in Nov, and Rivian is a great place to land.

Replacing my 2018 Audi A4 with an R2, hoping soon. Audi's current tech/design is a mess. I would wait for the VAG and Rivian joint venture to play out before looking at that brand(s) again.

I have the same car. No problems great car but time for an update. At first I was going the PHEV route again and decided it was time for an EV . Test drove the R2 and loved it. Just waiting to place my order. Partnerinmg with Rivian is just what Audi needs to make them competetive in the EV space but why wait for rivian improvements for the Audi when you can have a Rivian.

If purely talking software Rivian is far more premium than Audi. Sad but true.

I will miss the software when I leave this truck behind. Zero arguments there. It is much nicer than my Q7 as well.

I had an Audi S5, I never thought about the software at all...
What year? 2024/2025 had a huge issue with preferences. If you changed the gauges from large to small, turned off the car, then came back a few minutes later, they went back to large. Other settings didn’t save either. Worked fine in earlier versions, though.

I just drove my mother’s Q5 PHEV (ā€˜24) up from SC to VA this past Sunday. Was missing my R1T the whole way. We had Audis for the previous decade (leased). Now we have an R1T and a Mercedes, because Audi discontinued the A5 Cabriolet. Idiots…

Long time Audi fan, but never owned one (but been close). The S5 and SQ7 were on my radar. Their current design language is frustratingly bland. I looked at the SQ6 and while not offensive on the exterior, the interior felt rather sterile. Range is also so-so.

The new Q9 seems to be heading the ship in the right direction. Looking forward to more updates to their EVs with more of the luxury in mind.

All that to say, I personally wouldn't buy any of their current offerings. I'd rather wait it out for the R2 (and avoid the stealerships altogether).
