Anyone charged at a Tesla Supercharging station?

For those that have charged with the magic dock, any idea how much it cost? That would be instructive. I do believe Tesla will charge a lot more for other vehicles to charge vs Teslas and Teslas are not cheap right now at SCs. Last couple times I used an SC with my X, it was about $0.42/kw.

I prefer free like RAN and my R1S right now!

It was $0.52/kWh for me at the Malta NY station. I believe Tesla's rate is different for each location.

Compared to public chargers around here, it's about $0.20/kWh more. Compared to EVgo in NY, which charges on a per minute basis, Tesla is about 4x more per kWh (depending on how fast your car/station can charge, obviously).

Has no one just broken the clip on the Magic Dock and kept it yet? I'm not advocating criminal activities, but I'd be really curious to see if it worked on another station.

I don't think this will work for now. You have to select a charger on the Tesla app to begin CCS charging, and the app only lets you select magic dock chargers.

Do you mean that you have a Tesla and want to charge your Rivian? As far as I can tell, yes, you'd still have to select the stall in the app if you want to charge the Rivian

Seeing I do have an account, will it work? Or does the charger recognize that it's not a Tesla?

Are you referring to a home charging station? You can set your home charger to allow only specific Teslas, any Teslas, or any vehicle. If you select the any vehicle option, you will be fine to charge the Rivian.
Currently you can not charge at a Super Charing station unless it is a magic dock station. In that case, you would not need any adapter.
There is not an adapter available for Tesla Super Charging > J1772

So no real answers then.

The answer was already given. That adapter won’t work and there are no adapters available that you can buy right now that will let you charge a Rivian on the supercharger network. Next spring there will be.

Not sure, but sounds like a heck of an experiment.

While in Las Vegas, I searched on the Tesla app for "Charge Your Non-Tesla" and found The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa. Chargers are located in the garage on the 4th floor. Plugged in the "J" charger and it told me it would take 6 days 20 hrs and 40 minutes to charge my vehicle. Ugh, NO!

I found an Electrify America at the Outlet Mall close to the strip with a bank of 350Kwt chargers that I now see other Rivian's charging at that only took an hour to charge. There are 8 chargers located there. Only other 350Kwt charger in Las Vegas is at WinCo on the north side with 2 chargers that are ALWAYS broken.

The first Rivian chargers located downtown outlet mall are about to open in this month.
