We've had our R1S for just over a month and this wire has been hanging out of the headliner by the third row passenger window. I'm assuming it shouldn't be hanging down like this. Anyone know what the wire is for?

Hard to see it clearly, but it looks like it might be the connecting wire for the window defroster?

Sorry about that - was trying to quickly snap a pic while waiting for the little one to get out of martial arts. Hopefully the below are better.

That is still my best guess but after seeing the better pic the terminal isn’t flat like I thought it was. Maybe one of the million engineers around here will have a better idea🤷🏼‍♂️

Seems like it would have something to do with the heater wires that are on the glass?

i agree - based on the location, something for the defrost. Easy way to find out is to turn on your defroster and see if it works. You could even check if voltage is being sent to the connector with a basic volt meter. Imho that should be an "easy fix" for a SC (assuming you don't want to pull the headliner back and connect yourself). Submit a ticket. 😄

Thanks, all. I was thinking defroster too given proximity, but also was hoping that it's the antenna as @crashmtb suggested since the radio reception in the vehicle isn't great compared to my others. I know, I know - no one listens to the radio anymore, but I do!

the headliners are magnetic so you should be able to gently open that part and, if youre so inclined and diy, see if theres an obvious spot to reconnect it.
