Anyone sticking with R1T Explore Package?

I don’t think it’s going to be disabled. I think you’ll just be responsible for getting the cable if that’s what you want.

My wording was poor. I just mean Gear Guard functionality was always built into the vehicles .

If I understand it correctly BOTH trim levels comes with the Gear Guard video feature but only the Adventure trim comes with locking cable.

According to CS, that is incorrect. They said that any video recording capability is only available with the Adventure package. I asked about general recording for the parked vehicle, not necessarily for items in the bed with the cable, and they said, no that was only on the Adventure/Launch vehicles.

Now we should take that with a grain of salt, because there are numerous cases of them being inaccurate, but that is all we have to go on currently.

I'm not entirely positive, but I would say it was probably in December.

I just got off a chat with Rivian.

He stated that the Gear Guard video surveillance system comes standard on both trim levels. Only the Adventure trim gets the locking cable.

I am sticking with my Explore configuration.

They’ll produce the explore. They can’t afford not to capture that segment of the market.

They are still taking orders for the Explore. I guess that they will have to build them eventually.
