Apple Music Activation - stuck in endless loop

Anyone else stuck in this endless loop when trying activate Apple Music after the new update? I don’t currently have a subscription. I scan the QR code with my phone > put in the code that displays on the main Rivian screen > use my Apple ID > and then it brings me back to the screen asking for the code again on my phone…

Do you have an active Apple Music subscription in your Apple account?

If not, thats why you are getting this screen. The new thing doesnt give you a trial of Apple Music for 2 months, just gives you an app to access it if you have it.

Figured it out….You have to first activate the subscription via the popup you get on your phone once you update to newest rivian software. I ignored that prompt, thinking I could do it later. Went back to my Apple Music app and activated that way then scanned the QR code on rivian screen…

Just an FYI if you find yourself in a similar user error situation like me!

Figured it out….You have to first activate the subscription via the popup you get on your phone once you update to newest rivian software. I ignored that prompt, thinking I could do it later. Went back to my Apple Music app and activated that way then scanned the QR code on rivian screen…

Doyou know how to get that pop up to come back.. I saw it when I opened the app this morning to re-sync my Phone as Key but it went away and I can't get the popup back.. I"m also stuck in the same loop.

Check your profile section in the app.

Yea i scanned the code in the R1T to log in on my phone, and go the message "I had to sign in and update my appleid using a device running iOS12 or later (don't have and never had any apple devices so can't do this) OR go to appleid.apple.com. did that, and can't log in at all-get as far as the "how your data is used" page, click continue- and nothing. Very frustrating as i can listen all day on my android phone to apple music using the apple music app, but can't log in to the truck...

UPDATE: I updated my Rivian app and there it was :D

I have an Apple Music account, but when I scanned the QR code and signed in on my phone via faceID I also got stuck in a loop. When I manually typed the link on screen and entered the code it worked as expected.

I seem to be in same predicament. My wife has IPhone and I have apple music on my android. I can get it all to work if I sign in as her, but if I try as me it goes into the endless loop. Frustrating...
Here is what Apple told me to do. And it did work.

On any borrowed iPhone/ iPad (any family member or friends device) go to settings> mail > add accounts > tap on iCloud and add your email account then you will be prompted to change the security type there.

Then Try to sign at appleid.apple.com

One you are able to sign in successfully, just remove the account from your friends device. Then, be assured you will be able to sign in as expected every time and will receive the verification code on your number only.

Definitely will try in morning. Wife is asleep and if I ask her one more time....plus wake her....I will likely not see another sunrise.

When you say "promted to change security type"...what do you do there?
