Best drive-cam flash drive recommendations?

Well that's not good. What happens if you connect it to a PC? Do you see the streams? If not, you might try formatting it exFAT on a windows device and then running the setup process again.

Installed and working, but no long-term verification. All I know is I got really tired of erasing my Tesla Flash Drive all the time so I wanted to get maximum memory but not sacrifice quality or break the bank.

This will help to keep the USB socket in your center console from getting damaged when retrieving items stored inside the center console. It tucks in nice and tight against the back wall of the center console, then plug it right in to any storage (NVME or 2.5" SATA drive) device.

Reduced xfer rate > Bonked USB C connector. And I have noticed no difficulty with either recorded quality or the playback efficiency.

FWIW, this is what I ended up with as a Drive Cam setup after reading many of these posts and experimenting a little.

Components:

• SAMSUNG PRO Endurance 256GB MicroSDXC (link) as recommended by several others.
• Anker MagGo USB-C Adapter, SD Card Reader (link)
• Magsafe Ring Sticker (link)

This setup fits flush to the compartment wall below the USB outlet. The card reader has a flexible 90 degree USB-C cable and is designed to magnetically stick to the back of an iPhone. The metal ring sticker just keeps it quietly in place so that it doesn't dangle when driving.

So far working flawlesssly.

Anyone have an idea of how many hours of recording we can get on a 256GB drive?

I put a safe in my center console and gave up some storage room so likely going with a flash drive and running the cable into my safe so a thief can't easily steal the evidence if they break in and know there might be one. Since the safe isn't huge, I don't want to give up too much space.
