I’ve been poking around the Rivian forums, you tube, etrailer.com, etc trying to figure out how to set it up.

  • Has anyone tried to set up the Swaypro with a R1T?
    • On my current Gas truck to tow I used the Swaypro chains to level everything once I had the correct ball height. I’m not sure how that would work with R1T auto leveling feature?
  • What height does the R1T use for towing? Standard height? Low?
    • I’m trying to figure out ball height once I attach to R1T? My travel trailer (Jayco 174BH) sits pretty low. I’m not sure if I can use the “low” suspension height for towing? This is the main struggle. The R1T adjustable suspension has me second guessing what the final ball height would actually be.
  • Using the Swaypro chains, should I level it like I would for a non-adjustable suspension and let the R1T figure out the rest?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Stephen

Hi Stephen!

Did you end up using your Blue Ox Swaypro set up for your Rivian? That’s our current set up as well and this will be our first year camping pulling with the R1T. Would love any feedback or issues you may have come across.

Thanks!

Just used our Blue Ox for the first time on my Gen 2 R1S with Airstream 22’ in tow. Worked great, although I think I might have set it for too much tension at normal truck height. Also had to use their biggest drop setting to get it low enough for the trailer, which has already had a 6” lift kit installed.

I’ve got mine set up but have not pulled the trailer yet. First trip is next weekend.

Mine sets at this height.
