Bluetti AC180 Power Battery Pack - Charging While Using

Just got my new EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus and it fits beautifully in the gear tunnel. Can charge at 100W from the 12V. Obviously I'll need to plug it in to the 120V when I'm boondocking, but the 100W from DC should be plenty for doing a charging stop with air conditioning.

I was just checking out the Delta3 Plus ... it's input limited to 1500W. Have you tried it using the on-board inverter to see if it trips the circuit?

You can set the peak power draw anywhere from 100W to 1500W

This sounds like you'd specifically need to put it into bypass mode to achieve what's specifically outlined in the text you're citing.

That said, I own a Delta Pro, so it's possible that there's a difference in function between the Pro and the Delta 2. My Delta pro does work exactly as you'd want it to: it'll recharge while still pushing AC to your devices. And you can control your load limit by customizing it to whatever you want (In my case, I set it to ~1200W to recharge from the truck). That said, if you set your recharge load limit to, say 1200, and your devices are pulling more than 300 at that point, it'll pull more than 1500. So, you set your load limit to recharge accordingly.
At least that's how the firmware behaved a few revs ago--I haven't recharged it from the truck in awhile. You'd be surprised how much you can power on ~3kW before you need to charge the thing!

The Delta Pro is a lot bigger (which is why you don't have to charge it often), and significantly more expensive. I'm only using this thing a handful of times a year and it's tough to justify anything bigger. All of the powerlines around us are underground (I'm in the Brighton development) so we rarely have any outages. I'm hoping that this setup will work for the next couple of years for camping and tailgating. If not, maybe I'll send you a PM and see if you'll rent your Delta Pro for a weekend every now and then...

She does like tequila, but not sure about Pink Floyd. I've been blessed with 4 daughters (34, 30, and twins who are 18) and one of the twins just surprised me when I found out that her favorite musical artist is David Bowie!

Thank you - I'll save you a little work...I have a Breville Joule Turbo sous-vide that draws 1100W max. When I did my testing it did indeed draw almost exactly that until my water reached my set temperature, at which time the draw varied from 0 - 700W (and the 700W was only for a second or so) to keep it constant. I also assembled a crude insulating blanket out of insulating bubble-wrap for my water container to try to minimize the heat loss.

The Bluetti has a "base" of 1800W output, but has a "Power Lifting" mode that allows temporary peaks of up to 2700W. Basically I'll leave the Bluetti plugged into the Rivian while I'm bringing my water to temp with only the sous-vide plugged in and once it's stable I'll unplug the AC and and plug in my assembled 400W power supply and then start using my other appliances like my induction cooktop or Blackstone 22" E-Series electric griddle. That should allow me about 45 minutes of power to finish dinner without worrying about tripping the Rivian inverter.

I'll post a trip report after our camping trip in April.

Our Gourmia crapped out, so I picked up a knock-off on Amazon and actually rather like it. Much better set-and-forget interface, dead silent even with the circulator running, and sturdier. I'll measure energy draw later this week and report back.

Also need to figure out my induction stove situation. The electric element version I bought a couple of years ago is quite terrible, so I've been bringing the Coleman white gas as backup (and it always ends up as primary).

I always bring the Smeg kettle along for coffee / hot chocolate when car-camping as well - it's great. And of course a stainless steel French press. I pre-grind the coffee because I'm not a complete douchebag, and bringing an electric burr grinder would be next-level. We don't chop our coffee like savages. LOL

This coming weekend about 60 people from our synagogue are going on a retreat at a camp that keeps kosher, which means that the coffee that's served Saturday morning was made before sundown Friday! Thank you, but no. People already know to come to our room for a decent cup - I'll likely go through 5 lbs of beans this weekend!

On the coffee hierarchy, I'm not sure which is worse - day old coffee, or instant from those little Starbucks packets. K-cups are on the bottom tier, sorry folks.

Having backpacked many many times with the Starbucks packets - I'm thinking I'd prefer day-old but Kosher coffee.

So I did some more reading, and the Anker SOLIX F2000 (PowerHouse 767) has this uninterruptible power supply (UPS) feature:

The unit is rated for 2400W of AC output. The manual doesn't say explicitly, but I'm guessing the UPS feature would mean it can deliver 2400W regardless of what the AC input is delivering.
