One item to consider is how will it hold up to high temperatures? I have a 3D printed insert for the center console and it got so hot inside the truck while sitting at the Dallas service center it warped the material and is not unusable. Might not be an issue with the drawer but something to consider.

Completely agree. Thankfully, I've migrated to ABS long ago. Both ABS and acrylic have glass transition temp of around 200F, so I don't anticipate any issues with that.

This might not have mass appeal, but that space seems perfect for a tissue box. I’ve got little kids and frequently need to grab a tissue or napkin while driving. Would be perfect to have a tissue box holder with an opening at the handle where they would dispense.

I’m picturing the tissues extending out through the drawer opening so you only need to open drawer to replace the tissue box. The next tissue will always be ready to grab when needed. Might work with the opening location on your proto, but tough to tell.

Consider using a material more resistant to high temperatures, such as PETG, ABS, etc. Unfortunately, PLA, which is, by far, the most popular printing filament, deforms easily in high heat. I use PETG and, sometimes, PETG-CF, when printing my drawer part:

Not yet I am waiting for our first thermoforming machine coming in mid September to see if that's a viable way to produce it. The issue is the front plate for now.

A weekend with 2 kiddos didn't seem busy enough so I figured I should do a drawer replacement for the camp speaker too
This is nearing production readiness. Here are some photos and some remarks.
Also, it latches so there is a nice click to it when you operate it, but Rivian refuses to lock the latch. I will figure that one out for v2.

Any thoughts, ideas etc before I release this?

Sorry, hit a wall with the front plate and haven't had the time to figure it out yet, so it's not available yet

I like the idea of this as I’ve only used the camp speaker like 1x.

I don’t see a need for a lock here as in the off chance someone breaks in, they likely won’t know there’s a storage space hidden down there. If that space is locked, then they’d just use a crowbar on it and likely end up breaking the entire center console.
