Lately after some extended use outside the truck, my camp speaker has been waking up when docked in the truck. It makes the wake up noise and then some other little jingle, then (sometimes) it goes back to sleep after a minute or two.

I’ve tried the 30 second reset procedure on the speaker and even unpaired my phone but it still happens (seems to happen when I walk near the truck interestingly…)

Otherwise the speaker works great, but I’m obviously concerned about some parasitic drain if it’s waking up on its own…

Anyone else encounter this? Should I open a service ticket (I know that sounds silly but I guess Rivian would replace it since it’s part of the comprehensive warranty?)

Mines done this since day 1 of me owning the truck. I’ll be in my house listening to music or watching something on my phone and the audio will stop working, only to find out my phone connected to the camp speaker that is stowed away and the truck is off. I’ve basically gotten to the point where I just re-pair the camp speaker when I actually use it and just remove it from my device list when I’m done using it.

Interesting. I’m guessing the speaker needs a firmware update or something. I’m also guessing there is no way to do that. ?

Mine has done it on occasion too. Nothing like being on an important call and having the conversation go quiet, just to figure out 15 seconds later it has transfered to the camp speaker in the truck that is in the garage.

We have 2 R1T. None of the 2 camp speakers take charge through the C port. [verified with the delivery person] My $100 small portable JBL has a battery status bar and almost as loud and clear as these giants. These have nothing like that.Nice design poor performance so far.Service ticket opened.
