I was scheduled to take delivery of my Catalina Cove on Friday. I was just told today that my vehicle wasn’t ready and I needed to reschedule. I figured there was some small thing that needed to be tweaked.
However, I then got a new contract to sign with a new VIN. I also got an email notification from my bank saying that the loan check was returned unsigned and unauthenticated and would be canceled and I need to get a new check.
I have heard nothing from Rivian aside from delivery was being rescheduled. Clearly, there is some major problem with the vehicle.
When I purchased my Gen1 R1T, it was a very early production vehicle and had a ton of issues. Ultimately Rivian purchased it back from me and replaced it with an R1S which has been pretty solid.
My wife is worried that we are in for a similar experience and we are debating just canceling altogether and walking away. What do people think, should we come back in a year? My patience and confidence in Rivian is not what it used to be.
