Changing Drivers - profile while driving - nothing happens

I had to pick up my wife and we both got to the R1T at the same time - and her profile was linked - as we started driving noticed my seat was out of position - I changed the profile to me and NOTHING...the seat did not change position at all - I had to manually change the seat - steering wheel etc - still don't think i got it back to where I need it - so what is the point over having driver profiles if it doesn't change the seating positon - any yes maybe if I had changed it before putting into drive - or gotten out and back in it may have changed - and also I was the last person that drove the R1T as well - any help with this ---argh.

I found out the hard way, the vehicle will only obey if it isn’t moving. Like at a light in HOLD but still in Drive it will change. I don’t think there is ANY UI to let the driver know of the restriction. I think misguided “safety” mechanism is a play.

I'm the only driver on mine so not sure but I would think it is that way for safety reasons to not automatically move the seats and controls while driving. Try it before putting it in drive.

Do it at a stop next time. Rivian blocks the seat adjustments while the vehicle is in motion unless it's explicitly recalled out of the profile after switching. Probably to prevent someone from doing it accidentally and then freaking out about everything moving and potentially getting squished.

There are several things that can only be done when the vehicle is in Park. Not just driver profile change.

Another one that annoys me is when for some reason, I've been signed out of music provider (e.g., Apple Music), the vehicle will not let you sign back in unless it's in Park. In other words, I cannot let my passenger take care it for me while driving.

Thank you guys for the responses - as I thought i was going crazy..lol..I think it would be nice if the Rivian would have a "preferred" profile - that could be a future update - hopefully - Wassym...you hearing this...lol
