Charging road trip costs

One of my Rivian or ABRP feature desires is to make pricing more obvious in the navigation.

Maybe start with an estimated charge cost in the route planning section (some can be listed as unknown where pricing isn't available).

There's been a few times where I would have chosen different chargers if I had the pricing information easily accessible.

I did the math and Tesla with a membership was far cheaper than any others. In some places, RAN was 40% more. My overnight home rate is 5.1 cents, so public charging costs me 7-10x.

There is a Tesla supercharger in the same parking lot as the RAN. The nonmember price was .55 per kWh - between 10 pm and 8 am their nonmember price was .29 per kWh. RAN was definitely cheaper. It pays to check the prices.

Just did an AZ road trip and had a wide range of prices.

RAN Quartzsite - 0.61 (0.71c for non-Rivians)
RAN Gila Bend - 0.61 (0.71c for non-Rivians)
Circle K Yuma - 0.43
EA Prescott - 0.48
Chargepoint level 2 at hotel in Prescott - 0.50 (crazy for a 6kW charger but I guess at least it's not per minute!)

This is why I no longer use it. The SC across the street from the RAN was 44 cents with membership, and also is attached to more useful things (the store in the same lot). I was harassed by a local cop for jaywalking from the RAN to the store. Good times.
