Hi All!

Quick question. My energy plan has the cheapest rates M-F from 12a-6a and on weekends from 12a-2pm. Is there a way to set this up in the app or in the vehicle? I see options to setup Daily or Weekday. On weekends, I have to go in and manually change the end time to 2pm and then on Monday remember to go back and change it to 6am. I'm hopeful there's a better way.

I appreciate your help in advance!

Currently there is no way to set the schedule for different days of the week via the app. If you have a smart charger you can set more advanced schedules on those devices.

I have had JuiceBox (EnelX) devices in the past but do not recommend them due to multiple failures. I know the chargepoint devices are really good. I have Gen 3 Tesla wall connectors here but those only provide a start and stop time similar to the vehicle.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have the Rivian charger. Really wish they would add that option in the app.

Just keep it at 12am to 6am every day. That's plenty of time to keep it topped up every day.

The majority of the time that works…. But we drive a lot on weekends (4 boys all in sport / skateboard tournaments) so top ups on the weekends are fairly common.

We have the JuiceBox and have it programmed to only charge midnight to 6 am weekdays and midnight to 2 pm weekends. There is another hack. Just tell the truck to charge midnight to 2 pm every day and just adjust your max charge down on weekdays if your charge is below what you can achieve in 6 hours. For us it can charge 35% overnight in that 6 hour window. If I were below 35% I would see the target charge level to whatever it was plus 35% so it would stop around 6 am.

Generally you won’t have to worry about this. If most of your running around is on the weekend you won’t use 35% weekdays anyway. The trick will be making sure it is turned down for Monday morning given lots of sports on Sunday.
