Charlotte, NC RAN is now OPEN!

Rivian officially opened the Charlotte, NC RAN station at 10 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. It is located next to R.E.I. with plenty of food. Besides the traditional 6-stall configuration, there are two AC 11kW J1772 chargers. Given the recent rapid expansion in Macon and Pooler, GA, this is very welcoming news to all RIVIAN drivers in the SE. Enjoy!

sure wish they would put some more fast chargers along I-95, not looking forward to trip this fall form western mass to Florida gulf coast, it will be my first big trip and i am feeling really concerned/anxious about EA reliability and charging as a whole for the trip.

If you're going across I-81, you'll be good from MA to at least TN. Having recently driven from Western NC up around Lake Ontario, that angle is well covered. No issues. And a couple RANs in there for a bonus! We used evGO, EA, (EC in Canada), Tesla magic dock and RAN. All worked great.

Went to CLT RAN today for lunch. Live in So Charlotte, so 32 miles away, but charged from 50 miles to 245 in matter of 40 minutes or so. Got 98kw charge all for free! They are still not charging for the Rivian RAN network. There are a multitude of food options here from 5 Guys, to Sushi spot to others. Parking lot is right next to REI store. Great location for easy on/off exit from I-485. Was an R1T from PA there when i plugged in, but must have been in a restaurant or store as we did not see each other by the time i came back to unplug. Don't even have to use the APP. Just plug in and walk away! Love it!

saw your picture and thought it was me until I saw your wheels. I charged last weekend and saw someone in an S plugging in as I was leaving.
