It's also worth noting that the OBD port is powered 100% of the time, even when a Rivian is off. While having a qi charger connected (with it's pico-level power draw when not charging) is going to be perfectly fine for the 12v, I'm not sure what impact a Comma will have.

Maybe it would be best to disconnect it when ot in use so it doesn't run down the 12v battery, cause the Rivian to wake, or something silly like that.

Just a thought on my end as I've dorked around with the OBD port way too much over the last year testing for shop products.

I don't know what the second question means, but again...so many variations day to day. I haven't seen anything related to this triangle.

I do have 2 concerns:

1) every time SP/mads-tesla-prebuilt powers up the yellow warning message pops up: “This branch is not tested”. is that normal?

2) following a vehicle with ACC active I never see the yellow triangle as described in the instructions. is that normal?

For #2, it means that the fork you are on does not include OP longitudinal, and is using the Rivian ACC.

Does anyone know of a good guide (or can you give me some tips) to help route the wires from the dongle connection all the way up to the rearview mirror? I don't want to mess up anything like the A Pillar trim or the roof trim.

Use plastic trim tools so you don't mar any surfaces. Look on page 2 of the attached guide (not my guide but don't recall who had created it) where you can see that you can pull the right dashboard trim out in order to route the usb cable to the A-pillar.

You got other good answers, but I'll add that this is dead simple and straightforward. Two panel tools make it SUPER easy, but even just one or just other tools will be fine. You can wrap a butter knife or screwdriver with tape if you must. The windshield surrounds are soft and easy to pull enough to shove a wire into.

It's pretty easy to install - when you're installing new software on the Comma, just select "Custom Software" instead of "Openpilot" and enter the following path:

lukasloetkolben/rivian-long-sunny

You mention a harness modification. If I don't have a harness yet, should I wait to buy one, or will both Lukas' and Comma's harnesses be 'modify-able' for the new CAN bus?

Both Lukas' and Comma's harness will be able to be modified and doesn't require removal of the harness to do the update, so no need to wait if you want to get started. I'll be posting a video about the harness mod here in the next week most likely. We're just starting to do the testing today.
