I think you're missing my point. Rivian is offering a subscription service for similar functionality that most others get with CP/AA. That's why I'm saying that they'll never offer it....because they are going to be making money from the subscriptions.I don't think this is the case at all. Apple and Google just don't "give" away CP/AA. It may be monetarily free but I am sure there are a lot of stipulations added on what functionality you can have vs CP/AA. Apple and Google want to control your car, not just add a window on top.
As much as I want CP or AA I trust Rivian more and Apple or Google (for now).
