And to continue the discussion on what yellow is closest to Rivian yellow ... I realized that California Filament had sent me a sample with my last order. So here are a few photos comparing it to Overture Yellow PETG printed and up against parts of the car in different lighting ... Overture is a closer match ... and only slightly off from the Rivian color ... I wonder if I should be looking for a brighter/yellower orange instead ...

The brake color and emblem look a bit more orangish to me.

Oh, and I can also confirm that the NACS adapter does fit on the bottom below this unit. The adapter is 122mm long and the bottom of this organizer sits at about 135mm above the floor (I just measured). If you want an extra tall cavity but just some top storage, you're probably better off with Rob's organizer that hangs off the top. I was using that before I started on this and it's pretty nice. Maybe RWorksman can publish his extended depth model on printables :)
I made this up to hold NACS adapters at the bottom of the center console - might need a little tweaking to clear (I think it's about 135mm tall, but it's easy to slice that off and make it fit I would think:

I wanted to share that I've published a model of my take on the OEM console organizer. I started drawing it up because it was out of stock by the time I went to buy one, then the project morphed into a my own take that allows for more customizations. The printables page has more details on some of the changes I made and my design choices. One of the later changes I made was adding holes for 6mm x 2mm magnets to "lock" the top tray into different locations. I haven't actually printed a new version yet with the magnets, as it uses nearly 300g of filament and I've already printed like 4 versions so far... lots of waste. When I finally get around to printing "final" versions, I'll update the photos, but these are nearly identical to the models.

I also finally have an official OEM one on order ... so I'll be able to compare to the real one when I get mine, but it hasn't even shipped yet so who knows when that'll be...

I love your work on the console. With so many versions printed like you said, don't let them go to waste. If you don't mean to use it, I'd love to buy the green one from you after you have printed the final version. FWIW, you can tell I don't have a 3D printer and I love this much more than the Rivian one. ?

I use the deep hole center console opening to hold 4 bottles of water, and use the elastic banded holder spot for the National Parks Pass with hanger and the vehicle registration and the insurance card in a small zipped pouch.

I place an aftermarket (sorry, can't recall the brand) tray on the top of those to hold sunglasses, small travel Kleenex and a coin pouch.

Since the wireless charger provided (gen 1) is crap, it was replaced by Stow-n-Charge and the pocket provided with it is used to carry a toll road transponder, small Swiss army knife and an emory board/nail file.

While all these organizers looks great and sounds great, the reality of it is, for me, its too compartmentalized and lacks the flexibility how to use the space.

Just as some ingenious people have come up with a locking drawer to replace the camp speaker (which I never have used), I haven't bought one to replace the speaker because I simply don't know what I would keep in or how best to use it.

I don't keep much in the vehicle and things that I do keep is kept in the lower Frunk (outdoor folding chairs and a small sunbrella) or in the tray above the compact spare (rear cargo cover riser, jacking pucks, Rivian tie downs for the track, provided hose for the compressor and the first aid kit, and a blanket). So most things that I do keep in the vehicle is too large for interior organizers.

The NACS to CCS1 adapter is just in the door lower pocket. Fit there nicely and doesn't move around.

I'd love to print one of these, but I put a safe in mine. I may make something to organize on top if it to make it easier to pull it all out to get to the safe. I bought the BestEvMod one but other companies have what appear to be identical ones.

It took about 10-15 minutes to install and has been a great addition. Great if you're a 2A advocate.

So I just tried to print this up after downloading the files, and fail. When I try to slice only the small object stay, but the main "bins" disappear. I am using Bambu Studio for my slicer since its what I have with my Bambu X1 Carbon.

I tried adjusting some of the settings and can at least get it to "preview" but will never slice.

Also since all the parts are 1 file for download have to remove all the parts except for what I can get to fit on print bed. Are you able to upload the files separate?

Any tips or tricks to get this to work on Bambu Slicer? I have had my printer for about 6 months now, but this is the first encounter where I can't print anything.

Thanks,

Ken~
Had a similar issue, once you have removed all the extra items and have the object that you want to print centered on the build plate, right click and select "printable." That should allow you to make the object ready to slice.

Also, thanks OP! this is an awesome model, and super excited to have it in the truck!

I had the same issue--fixed it by importing the files into Fusion and exporting them from Fusion directly to Bambustudio.

Thanks for the feedback on the .3mf with hidden models causing problems. I've updated the .3mf to make sure all of the models are visible. I've also updated the printables page with an "assembled" model that's colorized for fun! If anyone has printed them and added magnets, I'd love any feedback you have on how well it works. If you have ideas of any additional accessories, just let me know, too!

Just pulled off the printer--fit is absolutely perfect and looks OEM. I used Bambu PETG/CF which seems to be a good choice--I'm not 100% sure that the CF helps anything but the surface finish, but the part looks great, fits perfectly, and seems quite tough.

I like those hooks, particularly the front one. Is the file for that shared anywhere?
Aside from the other answer, you should go to printables.com and search "Rivian" to see how much is out there.

Not to be the downer in the thread, but I'd be concerned that the hook design has the potential to be an eye-poker in the event of an accident/hard stop.
