I can buy a vehicle despite the looks, if it's better. CT isn't for me. To each their own.

The only thing good about CT is that you won't get door dings. IMO, my R1T with 2 fairly large dents(courtesy of wife) looks better than a pristine CT.

Yah, this site has a few loud mouthed petty narrow minded individuals. Very disappointing.
Yes, but having a few is better than a lot

This give me El Camino vibes:

Fersure !
What is that machine in that award-winning photo?
Speakin’ of VIBES the R3 gives me vibes of my wife’s old cold-war-looking ‘77 Rabbit which is why I bought her an Ioniq 5 - from which I’d love to surgically remove the spoiler wing .
That look will never die.
Vibe 3 - the CT has notes of the Delorean - a look we’d love to see die.

Gee...who could have predicted this?

LOL

There's only so many "influencers" and Elmo Stans in this world. The CT will die a glorious death.

Expensive: Same as Rivian.

Ugly: For sure, and every time I see one, they get worse to me.

Impractical: Not in any way different from a Rivian or other short truck. Actually has more space.

Quality issues: Same as Rivian.

I would not be so quick to judge the CT. I am not a truck lover, don't care one bit about ever owning a pickup truck, but I am cognizant of the fact that ugly is always on the eye. Heck, many said that the Model Y/3 were so ugly; the smashed-in duck face, blah-blah. I like everything about my glorious MY, a heckuva lot.

Now some anecdotal tidbit. Took my MS to the Tesla SC near me. Huge shop, lots of service bays. Thought to myself, what is this, CT day?
There was a lot of CTs in there on lifts, frunks open, etc.

To be fair, some of the issues we're seeing with the CT are 100% due to the way the CT influencers and idiot showoff owners are abusing them to get clicks, views, etc..
If they just used them in a normal fashion (like everyday driving) we'd no doubt see less spectacular failures like the one where the whole rear bumper assembly broke off the CT because the idiot owner landed the complete weight of the rear end on the hitch point on huge boulder earlier that day when rock crawling.

I’ve looked at Tesla stock since I bought my Model S in 2016 and was never able to justify the purchase because the P/E has always been so high.
I took a different strategic approach: I flipped Tesla stock to fully fund my R1T. Tesla's valuation goes far beyond P/E ratios or vehicle sales—it's about battery storage, groundbreaking innovations, and forward-thinking (AI). I laugh at Elon, but he has brought great dividends to my family. With the latest stock surge, my R2 is now covered too. Go TSLA! ? and Go house-money!

p.s. I imagine they will be in silicon design here shortly....

Tesla has a lot of demand triggers. They are very good at what they do.

is CT leasing available? We will probably see incentives increase and the lower margin vehicles come sooner than later.

one big thing they could do is offer free wraps.

The CT looks like a fun big boy toy. In another life, I would have bought one at these lower prices. However, I'm happy with a Model Y and an R1S. The 2004 Chevy colorado has been borrowed a zillion of times when people need the open bed, but other than that, it hardly gets driven anymore.

Many of my friends spontaneously criticize the Cybertruck's appearance. I don't think I've ever signaled them that this is OK with me. They just start that conversation all on their own as part of the "How do you like your Rivian?" discussion.

I'm glad we don't all think alike. I don't want to live in a world where everyone thinks as I do about everything....

Best wishes!
i agree… I don’t personally love the cyber truck but I’m all for variety on the road and in the market. More EVs = better.
