The answer is "YES" this is something you should be concerned about because it should not be on continuously. Maybe your parking brake sensor is bad or something along those lines.

Yessir, that is correct. It has been lit for almost two months now waiting on my SC appointment next week.

I am thinking that it is a sensor issue because I cannot tell any difference in breaking from before.

Since I don't have a truck yet I missed that the BRAKE was brighter than just showing up on the screen.

I'd suggest double-checking that the parking brake is completely released. Also, it's probably there might be a hiccup in some of the brake system parts like the brake pads, brake lines, or brake master cylinder.

How is the parking brake set and subsequently released? I thought ot was all automated.
