Delivery nightmare - please help!

hey, look, another "nightmare" that is a mild inconvenience. Your delivery might be delayed a couple days, oh noooooo. Rivian didn't keep your money, relax. So RJ created a car company, made 70-80K vehicles, company is worth billions, and all of this just so they could take YOUR 90K? Doubtful guy. Relax, it will get sorted out.
I read on a credible source (The Onion) that EV companies are running off with peoples money (jk). I called Rivian yesterday to get the names of the guys that helped me last week so I could thank them (ya people do that). It took me 2 minutes to get through. In fact, every time I called Rivian-it's never taken me more than a few minutes. Why do I keep hearing about long wait times or no response?

Because these posts like those from OP are disingenuous. In the unlikely event it’s a real person with a real order, then they are leaving out way too much detail for any of us to be useful.

But my money is on troll - paid or otherwise. It’s not illegal to sow FUD into competitive forums. This smells like that.

I read on a credible source (The Onion) that EV companies are running off with peoples money (jk). I called Rivian yesterday to get the names of the guys that helped me last week so I could thank them (ya people do that). It took me 2 minutes to get through. In fact, every time I called Rivian-it's never taken me more than a few minutes. Why do I keep hearing about long wait times or no response?
I agree, and my guide is super responsive as well.

He was probably contacted by Rivian 2 minutes after his breathless panic rant and has been driving his new vehicle around for the past week and a half. We’ll hear from him again when he sees his motor temps go above 200…

The term nightmare should be reserved for things like the door plug in your plane blowing out in flight not your $80K vehicle delivery being delayed.

It is a little weird that the OP has not come back to give more details or updates.

However, to those that say that you always get a quick response from guides that does not negate less than stellar responses that other customers have experienced.

In my own experience I had 3 day non-response to texts and vmails from the West guides right before delivery day that I found really frustrating. I left them plenty of feedback in the post purchase survey.

I just call the regular number on the app. Not sure if that routes me to a geographic team but I've always gotten through quickly and had good experiences.

I've texted my guide several times since confirming my configuration/order and have not received a single response. Really disappointed actually. I've given Rivian a pass on a lot of things since they are a new and growing company, but I don't understand why they assign a guide and provide a means of texting/calling if they aren't going to follow through on that.
