I just had this problem pop up today. It’s telling me my storage device is too slow, even though it’s the same one I was using previously.

Seemingly a software issue, but an infotainment reset hasn’t helped.

Just happened to me again today. It’s getting annoying. Hopefully they’ll issue a “rare issue…” patch next update

Mine has worked for a year. Same issue since last update. I know its not working when camera icon up top next to chris has a line through it. Both times a infotainment reset has fixed it and never touched or unplugged or formatted the drive. 0 warnings or issues about drive speed. When i go into gear guard it tells me to try a restart.

I emailed rivian my info and issue and screen shot as well. Hopefully someone will look at it and maybe this gets fixed in an update. If it's my storage I don't mind replacing it, but I really think it's vehicle and not the storage.

I had that issue as well and did an infotainment reset and it seemed to fix it.

Mine lasted about a week and stopped working again. I am on 2 infotainment resets to since this last update. This has to be a bug.

Now that it seems to be a bug, I wonder how interesting my mobile service appointment will be... Or perhaps I'll get a last-minute cancellation.

Or perhaps they'll show up and roll back my update...

Mine stopped recording on 7/3. I did a reset and now it works again.

Now I'm going to have to go look. but then again, I've had to reset the Infotainment a couple of times since then so it may be a self-correcting problem.

To follow-up on my own post, it was not a software issue I guess. I replaced the microSD card I was using and now it’s working fine again. Not sure if the card degraded from use, but it was one of the Samsung “Endurance” cards that’s made for dashcam use.

I'm using an SSD, after update, it said not working and to reset. Reset once and it has been working ever since.

Mobile service out today. He was able to test all of the electronics in the vehicle (they're testing fine) and was able to independently test the performance of my USB-C drives (both are great).

He's pretty convinced it's a software bug. I had received the 2024.19.04 (I think--I can't see what it was anymore that the truck is updating) with everyone else, but he's pushing 2024.19.06 to see if it makes any difference. Regardless, he'll be reporting back to Engineering with his findings.

So, HOPEFULLY there's at least some more awareness that this is a prevalent issue. That said, I was cautioned that it might be until the next big software release for a full resolution if it is, in fact, a software bug.

Drive cam has always been flaky for me. It works for a bit then quietly stops. On Sunday I noticed that both drive cam and gear guard had stopped working. An infotainment reset fixed both.

I know that a hard wired dash cam would be more reliable and provide better video quality. Just haven't been sufficiently motivated to spend the money and time to install one.
