I’m back to getting “device too slow” errors with endurance microsd card. I replaced the card a month ago after the error started appearing, despite the drive working fine previously. The new card only made it a month though and back to no drivecam.

On Gen2 the center console usb ports stop working entirely, which is then causing Drive Cam to not work.

Really hope this all gets worked out in the next update.

Yup, happened twice already since update couple of days ago. Prior to the update, it has been working perfectly for past several months. I'm using an 500G mobile HDD (yes rotating media).

I, too, was very hopeful for a resolution on the drive cam issues with the latest update. Received the update (to 2024.31.01) last night and the first drive this morning, issues are persisting, unfortunately..
Guess it's time to install an aftermarket dash cam...

My first drive after updating I noticed the drivecam wasn’t working and needed a reset. I reset the infotainment system and had to reformat the card. It was fine until this AM when I had to once again repeat the same procedure as above. Never had an issue before the update. Only other constant is I was charging at home both times this happened.

Anyone else?
I’ve experienced the same problem with my Gen2 R1S. After the original setup with a 2TB drive which worked fine till next morning when drive was not seen by software and ports would not charge either. After soft reset Drive Cam setup wanted to reformat drive again. After 2nd setup and reformat the sane problem happened again so another soft reset and I replaced the HD with a 1000/mbs 1 TB thumb drive but problem came back a couple days later. Service ticket has been submitted. Looks like perhaps latest update may address issue ???

I just had this problem pop up today. It’s telling me my storage device is too slow, even though it’s the same one I was using previously.

Seemingly a software issue, but an infotainment reset hasn’t helped.
Make sure you report it to Rivian. When I initially reported it, the customer service rep told me I needed to replace my hard drive because it's possibly corrupted. I refused to listen to that lame ass excuse.

I had a mobile technician come out and look at it for himself. He plugged in a hard drive he knew works perfectly fine on other Rivian's and that too showed as "device too slow". He concluded it's a software issue and said it's just a matter of the team prioritizing it based on how many people are impacted.

The more formal reports, the more visibility it gets.
