My phone got stuck in the pocket too and was pushing on the SOS side button. As my husband and I wrestled to get it out ambulances and fire trucks were being alerted. All of my 4 daughters around the country were alerted. Luckily we got the power gone out and called off the Calvary (ie response teams). ???I reported to the forum and there were others like us.

There have been plenty of times, my phone has died. Would rather have a paper copy to be safe

You're gonna just hand your unlocked phone to a police officer? No thanks. Also what if someone besides me is driving the car.

Also, if you get the CO parks registration thing "Keep Colorado Wild", they ask to see your registration. I guess you could have them wait while you pull that up on your phone too, but eh.

I keep the roof bar key and parking meter quarters in mine. No sunglasses as I have transition lenses.

This is a feature on the iPhone not the Rivian. When I put my iPhone in the front seat pocket it hit the SOS button on the iPhone.

Fair enough. I use PAAK, so if my phone is dead, I've got bigger problems and won't be going anywhere

Good points. I wouldn't give the officer my phone, you just have to show the information. There's no requirement to hand it over. The only other person to drive my car (without me in it) is my wife, and she has full access to the same info on her phone, so not a problem for us. If that wasn't the case, then I could see it being an issue.

I was unaware of that, and don't have one of those endorsements (assuming it's one of those boxes you can uncheck when you renew?). I wonder if the endorsement would show up on your electronic registration on the mycolorado app?

I found that compartment about 2 months after we ot our R1T. I have yet to use it for anything...but I will use it for my $10 gas station sunglasses.....LOL.

I wish Rivian would offer an optional camp speaker and a locking safe/compartment. If I want to listen to music outside my R1T, I will roll down the window and blast it.....LOL. Or use my Boom Cube.
