I sprayed it because it is starting to smell moldy

Spraying it with Lysol isn't going to do anything because the mold is under the carpet where the Lysol can't reach. You probably need to remove all the carpeting, disinfect, and replace the carpeting (either with new carpeting or after steam sterilizing the original carpet).

Okay - I got in my R1S to head out late last night and noticed a water mark on the carpeting behind the brake pedal. Lifted up the floor mat and the carpet was completely soaked underneath. I used the better part of a full roll of paper towels to mop it up and put a fan on it to dry it out as much as possible.

Big question: Is it safe to drive between now and my 8/28 service appointment?

I drove mine for weeks after noticing water (and drying it) but it did fail on me during a vacation. I wish I had seen these posts when I noticed the water so that I would know that I was heading towards a 12V failure and HVAC replacement.
I guess what I'm saying is ... maybe you'll be ok, but don't go somewhere it will be difficult to tow you from.

Thanks for the heads-up. I called Rivian Service and, to my surprise, got right through to someone. They confirmed that the earliest possible appointment was in two weeks and they said I most have grabbed someone's recently cancelled appointment because Gaithersburg MD was currently scheduling from September to November! Anyway, they were very knowledgeable about the issue and, after confirming that the liquid was clear, said that we could drive with it this way, but limiting A/C usage would minimize the problem. We'll see how it goes - Gaithersburg is a 2-hour drive from me so I know I have at least one long trip to do.

Three times - Ouch! My wife (it's her car) is not happy that I'm asking her to keep the climate system off until we get it in for service in two weeks, but that seems to have done it. I got both floors (the passenger side was soaked too) dried with fans and the mildew smell is noticeable but tolerable for now. The Rivian service agent with whom we've been working has been great and has called us a couple of times. She said that our name & number is on the white board in Gaithersburg for them to call if there's a cancellation between now and our appointment. She also apologized multiple times for the smell that she knows is coming.

@Voronbrg - What did you remove from the vehicle when you dropped it off for service? I've already taken out the floor console tray organizer, but should I pull the speaker too? Any other suggestions are appreciated (it's our first service and we've had our ride for a year).

Nothing, they'll remove anything they need. But you shouldn't leave anything aftermarket installed around the dash or between the footwells.

Thanks - the only aftermarket thing is the tray organizer with the cup holders big enough for my wife's Hydroflask.
