Driving to Canada soon. Will my navigation work? Does the LTE need to work and if it does, will it work in Canada?

More seriously, PlugShare and ABRP maps show Canadian chargers. The Rivian app let me plan a trip to Calgary. So it seems OK. I am not Canadian. I haven't visited Canada, but I hope to do so.

I use a separate screen for CarPlay for my main navigation, and use Rivian navigation as a backup, and to allow the vehicle to precondition the battery

As mentioned above, ABRP & PlugShare are the best choice & Google Maps over Riv Sat Nav is even a better choice (IMO)

I just returned from Canada. Drove the trans Canada highway 1 from Vancouver to Winnipeg. Drove around Vancouver Island and the Banff area a lot. The navigation worked fine. Charging was easy. Used superchargers a lot plus some electrify Canada and BC Hydro. All was seamless. If going to British Columbia get a BC hydro account. Their chargers are widespread and reliable.

Tesla and Electrify Canada are in the Nsv, BC hydro is not.

Our screen addicted son often lets us know that the hotspot is unavailable for a while when crossing the border. Sometimes it takes several minutes to connect to a CA cell network.

Ditto what he said. Did trip from Detroit through Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and back. Zero navigation issues even on the rural backroads. The Rivian will automatically switch over to KM as soon as you cross over the border. LTE coverage was great to.

The Tesla superchargers worked great too and was able to activate from the app. After Tesla, used FLO the most (the hotel area chargers seemed to be tied to the FLO network).

Navigating in Canada is fine unless Alexa is having one of her hissy fits. LTE works well in most places. Not sure about in the mountains. Good luck
