@gerrylum . I noticed that the comma favored the left side of the lane more often than not. Is it correctable? Also, is there a way to turn off the comma without stepping on the brake?
Did it just start doing that? You can try a different driving model, or you can reset your calibration. Those might help your left lane hugging issue.

Unfortunately, if you want to use MADS mode, the only way to disable OpenPilot is to step on the brake, at least for now. Hopefully, we can implement a double-tap method for mads so that pushing up on the driver stalk will turn off Openpilot, but we haven't gotten that working yet.

I noticed it maybe a few weeks ago. Let me try to recalibrate before changing driving mode. What other drive modes are you suggesting just in case the calibration is not correcting it?

I believe you are looking for "Driving Models". Every model seems to be different for everyone's vehicle configurations driving conditions (if not just random in general). Don't hesitate to try several different models. The common ones currently are Down To Ride V6 and Space Labs 3 and fall backs of Tomb Raider 7. Some like even older models. I have been defaulting to Space Labs 3 mostly.

I have been using Down to Ride v6, but it also depends on what model you're currently using. You can also try using Steam Powered, which is Comma's latest default model.

Thanks y'all. Just watched Gerry's latest YouTube video. Very informative. I also changed the paused lateral control with blinker as well.
Glad to hear the video helped!

I went and checked on the drive model earlier and it was defaulted to steam powered. Did it changed automatically from Tomb Raider 7? I haven't done anything to the comma since the installation. I have no idea how long Steam Powered model been on it, which I didn't like so much with the hugging of left side of the lane. I just changed it to down to ride v6. Let see how it is.

You will receive updates when the vehicle is not active, so you likely updated and didn't know it.

Yup, as Kaos said, you probably updated to the latest version and didn't realize it, since Steam Powered is the latest default model.

So, if you liked certain driving model, can you keep it forever? or it will change frequently with updates?

I think if you have it set to the default model, it will change to whatever is the latest default model. But if you have a different model selected, it will stay on that different model.

So far I really like the down to ride v6. I don't see anything about it as Default ? However I see a toggle for Disabe update. It is on the off position. Should I have it on if I want to keep down to ride forever ?

Down to Ride v6 WAS the default model up until the 0.10.0 update I think, then it switched to a different model.

I don't think there's any need to toggle the Disable Updates option. Updates should keep all your settings as-is. As long as you aren't switching branches or uninstalling, it shouldn't change your model selection.
