Don’t buy all the ignorance, buy a properly rated extension and be done with it. They are rated for a reason, mine comes in handy for inconsiderate parking at L2 chargers as well ?
Which one do you have?

After you get used to using the images on the screens, you might find that backing in isn't hard.
But as others have said, a new charger with a longer cord is a great option (especially if your utility will give you a big discount). You might watch some YouTube video reviews by Tom Moloughney - "State of Charge" is the channel.

I bought this one, keeping in mind my Rivian charger is setup for 40amp (50amp breaker). It’s very well made (USA) and comes with a handy case.

They also make a 48amp version.

I bought the same one but from Amazon (30ft 40amp - https://a.co/d/iABYV9T). I've been using it for a year for daily charging my T with no issues whatsoever. I bring it with me on any trips in case I run into a charger that's ICEd or where the cable doesn't reach. I've had to use it a handful of times. I also have a dryer adapter/extension (https://a.co/d/5vsImzh) and Tesla destination -> j1772 adapter (https://www.umc-j1772.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=146) that I keep in my "charging go-bag" to maximize my charging options on the go. Zero problems with any of them.
