I tried a quick search and couldn't find anything so I'll post this quick question here.

I'm attempting to use the EV Sportline jack pad pucks with the EV Sportline rock sliders. There seems to be a tolerance mismatch with the jack pad pucks as they don't seat properly into the lifting point provided on the sliders.

There's a nearly 1/2 inch gap and the magnets on the pucks are not making any contact. I assumed this is not normal and didn't attempt to lift the truck this way in case I jam the puck inside the slider. Has anyone else seen this problem? I'm also sending a note to EV Sportline.

I also have the EV Sportline bottle jack and extension puck. That puck seats perfectly.

Update,

EV Sportline talked me through a solution for this. I should have thought of this one - a quick filing of the puck mounting holes on the sliders did the trick. Could have been some residual powder coating that was left.

This thread can be closed. Thank you EV Sportline!

Based on his response: Use a metal file to make the hole very slightly bigger.

With the sliders I am not even sure you need the pucks anymore. I thought the EV Sportline steps can be jacked itself

When my Rock Sliders were installed, I was told they would bear the weight of the R1S, and Rock Slider could be used as a jack point without use of pucks. This was actually tested by Rivian mobile service when they came to rotate my tires. Single jack lifted the entire side of car with both front and rear wheels on one side off the ground while the vehicle was in tire change mode.

My Rivian mobile tech refused to jack my R1T from the sliders due to liability... it's still a crap shoot what type of response you get from Rivian depending on who you talk to...

I have lifted directly from the sliders (jack on the inner rail, but "should" be able to do it anywhere on the slider) to change a flat on the trail. Have also used pucks with them at home to rotate and swap tires, and the service center used their pucks with them when they did some suspension work. Basically it seems you can lift anyway that is stable with your jack/lift.

i thought with rock sliders you dont need the pucks. thought one of the benefits of having them that you can lift right on the sliders, no?

Yes, you definitely can, but there are holes in the same locations as stock to use the pucks, which is what most service centers will still want to do.

I just tried to fit the pucks I have, evsportline, jackpucks, rivi gear, and megawatt. None would even start going into the hole. Im guessing I have to drill or file the hole bigger, paint to prevent rust. Kind of bummed I have to do all of that.
