Cable is still short... This going to be painful if the parking spot requires the rivian /or any other ev to park in the wrong spot to make the cable reach.

Example is tesla port is back left, rivian is front left. Rivian may have to park one spot over to make the cable reach.

If the spot adjacent isn't open, rivian can't charge, or if the spot is open, the rivian may be taking up 2 spots.

Tesla owners already going to be all pissy about sharing spots with non tesla, they will be even more pissed (understandably) if someone takes 2
This is the main problem, IMO, moreso than the overuse/overcrowding problem. As someone who is a Tesla owner, and hopes to be a Rivian owner soon, I'm not sure how Tesla plans to fix this. Maybe they will be rolling out longer cables or something as they roll out the magic adapter.

Time to put a second plug on the rivian. Maybe in the passenger side of the frunk with some 500 guage.
Maybe relocate the existing one to the middle.

At least the plug is in the front. Bmw put their port in the back of the ix. Even more stupid when towing.

I didn't do anything special, that's just default how it shows up in my app on the front landing page. I don't have a Tesla btw., could that be the reason?

In the Tesla app, click the profile icon top right. Then swipe the icons to the left until you see the one that says Charge Your Non Tesla. Click on that to see the map.

So, who will be the first to try it out? I‘m too far away from one.

Hoping they add one to Southern CA that I can try out.

It must be, I only have a landing page for my Model S and Powerwall. I’ll have to figure out a way around that as I see nothing about non-Tesla in my app.

Thanks.

0.52/kw. How does that compare to charging a Tesla at this same time?

We now have an idea of pricing, at least in New York. .49 per KW without membership, .39 per KW with membership. Membership is 12.99 a month.

Edit Santa Cruz, CA .52/.42
