My opinion is that Rivian made lot of mistakes overbooking non-essential issues early on, making people with issues that render their vehicle dangerous or impossible to drive wait longer. The resulting problem became people still dropping off their vehicles when originally requested, so they sat at the service center while they were spending money on rentals and loaners on repairs to otherwise perfectly drivable vehicles.Rivian really needs to pay more attention to their service model. If they are able to start selling the R2 and they have not greatly expanded their service and repair locations and capabilities, the Rivian dream may implode before their eyes.

We have been hearing a lot fewer complaints about long service times in general now, people with critical issues are going to be more critical about Rivian forcing them to wait. People that have problems that aren't much more than an annoyance aren't as likely to be vocal about the delay, so it seems like they are finally getting a handle on things.
But, areas where a new service center is opening soon are obviously overloaded, or they wouldn't be putting another service center in, would they?
