I bet it happens more than we know in general. Rivians just record it. Of course Tesla records too, but it’s easier to hide behind a big truck / SUV.

One incident was in Seattle, most recent in downtown Portland, and the SM concert was this summer in Bend.

Very normal along with many other interesting behaviors in PNW. There are things I can’t unsee now ?‍

When you say “on your truck” what do you mean exactly? On tires, actual body, etc? I really don’t care if some person that has to go really bad just pees next to my truck or even on my tires. On the actual body? Yeah that’s fucked.

I've had my R1T since June 2023 and have already caught (on Gear Guard) 3 separate incidents of people walking up an urinating on my truck.

Most recent was this weekend in Portland. I'd post the video, but I'm sure it violates all sorts of Forum rules...it's pretty graphic. Guy just walks up to the front, pulls it out and lets out a nice 40 second stream.

Best one was a drunk girl when I was parked at a Smashing Pumpkins concert. She had to catch herself on to the truck so she wouldn't fall over.

How often does this happen? 3x for me, so I am averaging 1 urination incident every other month. Do people know they are being recorded? I had a Tesla for 3 years before the R1T and this never happened with that car.

Anyone else out there struggling with this?

I had one incident recorded in the golf course parking lot but the guy didn't seem he was there for golfing, just a random dude who just parked and let his liquid out, aiming at the front passenger door.

I live in SoCal.

On the truck. Caught best by the front camera above the license plate. Nice steady stream all over the front bumper. I can tell he has a healthy prostate.

There's a YouTube video out there about some Brit who got really tired of having his work van broken into and his tools stolen. He installed (and now sells) some really really high voltage zapper (think electric cattle fence on steroids) with the electrodes behind the pull handles in the cargo area.

I think you can see where I'm going with this...it would be the EV equivalent of peeing on the electric fence (or the third rail except that I think Mythbusters shot that down)

Haha. I was at a EA charger in a Walmart lot but it was like 3AM and they were closed. I thought about just doing it the whole time I was charging. luckily I could wait till the next rest stop on the highway after I hopped back on. It'll be sweet if they ever get chargers at the highway rest stops. Seems like a logical place.
