I still want to test trailer lights while standing behind the trailer w/o having to put an idiot kid in the truck and yell instructions at him and hope he doesn't hit the wrong "turn signal" switch.
And, yeah, heated steering wheel button on the main screen seems like it's missing. Much like resume function is missing from the cruise system.
Also, there's an apps page which is, for all intents and purposes, blank. I could be day trading while charging with a browser like the one that my $300 smart TV has.
The above mentioned items will seem like child's play compared to my mad scientist idea...
Totally customizable controls like a Playstation remote. I want the right steering wheel buttons to be set/decrease and resume/increase with the roller increase/decrease follow distance and press to cancel. I want to put a "camp mode on" button on the top of the center screen. And I'd like to not have to wait for the "cancel kneel" pop-up to disappear so I can close the garage door.
First world problems.
I'll go drive my '98 wrangler for a day and then thank R. J. for the R1 just the way it is!

Add free chargers as a nav option, they show on other charger sites (i.e. Plug Share). They are invisible to navigation as they aren't on any network.

And maybe add another decimal point to volume as music on 3 is a little low, but 4 is almost deafening.

I second the mirror tilt when reverse is engaged.
Also would like to see actual left vs right torque vectoring in the as right now it only does front to rear split, need the front camera to activate when parking sensors detect an object, I mentioned Pin to drive already so just a reminder, tire temps as well as psi, widgets for the phone, mirror my phone screen as a PIP, ability to select wheel size and tire size mounted on vehicle. Icing on the cake would be a launch mode under sport setting with 0-60, quarter mile times, 60 and 100 feet times on the drivers screen.

I'd like to keep whining about no "Track mode" that raises the top speed.

  1. app displays cabin temp, but the vehicle does not
  2. app gives you ability to vent all windows with a single click, but the vehicle does not
  3. add ability to view motion cam videos on the app
  4. ability to control temp and fan speed from the steering wheel
  5. fix the key fob - id like it to work the first time i press the button like every other car ive owned the past 20 years.
  6. temp/time on the drivers display - its stupid to have to look at the far right corner of the main screen for this.
  7. vehicle to be able to connect to my mobile device while in motion so i dont have to pay for LTE once the free coverage expires this year. im already paying for my phone, its be great to be able to use this data service for my truck. very unlikely to happen i know.
  8. a way to mirror the display on my device to the main screen (very, very unlikely as this is basically giving us AA/CP). we wouldnt need netflix, amazon or any other service on the vehicle, we'd just use whats on our devices. it would also be a second screen when im working on my laptop in the truck.

Surround camera live view via phone app please
Update: For example: This is my Tesla's real time, live, 7 video camera view (from my smartphone) with 2-way mic communication anywhere, anytime in the world where there is cellular signal or Wi-Fi. You can view up to 4 or pick individual camera view?

I would like an update to use plug in power while my vehicle is plugged in for all the auxiliary power. Also an option to "auto start" using the wall power to condition the battery and heat or cool the vehicle so that I am not wasting battery power right before taking a long trip.

I second the average Trip Kilowatts per mile on the driver screen.

I like how the tesla app allows you to set the Dollar per Kilowatt Hour rate and calculate the cost per charge. That is a fun fact when you are laughing at those still sucking from pump.

The number 1 improvement would be to get rid of Alexa. Change it to google or develop proprietary software. It is my number 1 dislike about the truck.
If you're plugged in (and charging is not set for some specific time), then essentially all the power that's being used is coming from the grid. Granted, it is depleting battery, but as soon as it does (by as little as 1%), the charger kicks back on to restore it. You can set the desired cabin temp from the app and it will head toward that temp. It won't maintain it indefinitely, however. If the charger is not set to 100% already, just kick it up a notch or more from the app at the same time you set the cabin temp. That way you'll know that you'll be charging and heating/cooling the cabin at the same time.

I regularly pre-cool the cabin (plugged in or not). South Texas summers are hot. It's nice to come out of a store or wherever and sit down in cool seats in a cooled truck. The app makes this easy. I actually am afraid to use "Pet Mode" for this for fear that some well meaning passerby might look in, see the screen, and not spotting a dog, and assume (wrongly) that some poor abandoned pet must be hiding under the seat in misery. The ability to blank the screen in Pet Mode would be nice.

If you're fixing to head out on a long trip, you should be charging at home to at least whatever level is required to get you to your first DC hi-speed charge stop...and that will be far enough away that any "battery preconditioning" that you did in the garage would be for naught.

I would love a way to turn off cruise control activation and deactivation noises, the 2023.46.0 update helped a little by adding lane change to driver + by reducing quantity of notifications but it's still annoying. I'm fine with the important safety beeps, but I'm already fully aware that I am engaging/disengaging cruise control, I have had almost every passenger comment on it.
