Garage Door Convenience Button

Just noticed that the last update (the Halloween Update) removed my convenience button on the steering wheel for the garage door. Does anyone know how to bring that back online...can't seem to figure it out myself. Also, with the launch of the Connect+ program ($149 annually), it would seem that Spotify now has to go through the Connect+ subscription?

Same happened to me. I also did the infotainment reboot which fixed it. I also lost all my external sensors. That night update 39.32 installed and that fixed it.

My opener has been hit and miss for quite a while when departing. When returning it has always worked. So far.

It's happened to us twice since the Halloween update - Infotainment reboot fixed it. With that said, I put my old school garage door opener in the center bin for now so that we don't have to pull out our phones to open the garage door or do an Infotainment reset in the driveway.

If the auto button is gone, you don't need your remote. Simply hit the little garage icon, and click your garage there.

Opal's garage door proximity buttons have been coming and going since before the .39 update. I have a total of nine garage door openers and gates programed into Opal's opener system. They all consistently work from the main screen drop-down menu. The proximity openers on the driver screen are intermittent for nor apparent reason. I have tried both types of resets, but the problem persists. Hopefully, she will eventually pull herself out of it.

You can also just press the garage icon on top of the main screen and it’ll bring up all the garage doors you’ve programmed in and you can just open the garage door from there.

My wife and I were laughing about that button last night...We'd both forgotten about it because the update to give us the steering wheel button came a week or two after we picked up our R1S in August 2023 and we hadn't used the touch screen since! Our first thought was the old-school opener because that's what we had to use for the 3 weeks we had an R1S loaner while our HVAC was replaced.

I had just the opposite problem. My garage door button on the steering wheel was on all of the time, regardless of where the truck was located, whether sitting or driving. As others have shared an infotainment reboot fixed it. Just a small annoyance...

Same thing happened to me, I went into the vehicles garage settings and toggled the show garage location button on/off. It is now working again, no reset required.

This. I lost the button a couple updates ago, but turning the garage settings off and back on fixed it.

What does the convenience button on the steering wheel look like? I have never heard of this. but I am still learning all the things that are available in the system.
