Since they do support that frequency, definitely not hardware, it’s a software ware. I also had a Tesla that had I was able to program, and was able to make it work.

I had a great discussion with an engineer but the response was basically that’s not a supported operator so, ticket closed.I also have had a support ticket in for a 318 mhz controller since early December. It has worked for all my other Homelink vehicles.
As more delivery happens, more will complain, don’t take no for an answer.I had a great discussion with an engineer but the response was basically that’s not a supported operator so, ticket closed.
I sure hope so. I would think this takes a single programmer/engineer about 30 min to update the software. As more delivery happens, more will complain, don’t take no for an answer.
they need us more than we need them.

My manufacturer, Linear/AllStar, is on the supported list and my ticket is still open the last time I checked.I had a great discussion with an engineer but the response was basically that’s not a supported operator so, ticket closed.
Is there an actual list of what is supposed to supported? My manufacturer, Linear/AllStar, is on the supported list and my ticket is still open the last time I checked.
Page 28 of the owner's manual has a list of manufacturers, but there's also a more specific list of models. I will try to find where I've seen it.Is there an actual list of what is supposed to supported?
Thanks
That doesn’t seem right..I’ve paired a Liftmaster, Chamberlain (same Company now), and a sears craftsman. When I have a chat with support, I also mentioned that my Liftmaster garage door works perfectly but not my gate which is on the 433mhz frequency. This was his answer "We support only Lift-master" I know is not true, but that was he said.
Maybe is a cost thing ?
From that day I have to carry the control with me, like 25 years ago.
I can't believe there is more people complaining about this.
I called Rivian tech support for other things going on, and they are elusive... Never a direct answer. That doesn’t seem right..I’ve paired a Liftmaster, Chamberlain (same Company now), and a sears craftsman.
Purple Button (Liftmaster Secure+ 315 MHz)
Red button (Sears Secure+ 390Mhz)
Yellow Button (Chamberlain Secure 2.0+ 310, 315, 390Mhz)
All of the above were successfully paired directly with the truck before I moved to a Z wave controller
I wasn’t trying to say you were wrong. I was saying Rivian shouldn’t have told you Liftmaster is the only one compatible when it’s not.I called Rivian tech support for other things going on, and they are elusive... Never a direct answer.
And the door opening thing, the answer was a complete misleading.
My problem is the 433 MHz gate, it does NOT work. Rivian doesn't support it or does not help to be paired.
As you can see on this thread, I'm not the only one.
By the way, my other car, a Volvo work flawless on both, the garage door and the gate..... synchronized in seconds. So no problem on my side is RIVIAN PROBLEM that need to be address.
All good I love my truck, I enjoy driving it every day, but simple things needs to be fixed if they want to be on the same level of other car makers.
