Plugging the windshield side channels negatively affect rain channeling? Or when using the windshield washer fluid? Don’t want the water to be running over the side window like the Tesla’s.
I purchased the seals ages ago and FINALLY installed yesterday. Thanks for the post OP!
Install Observations:
1. I did everything on the Driver door and it's a bit difficult to open/close. It 'pops' with more force when opening.
2. Passenger side, I did everything except the door side L seal, this made door opening like normal.
Drive Results:
- I created a very loud wind noise on the passenger window seal. Super annoying. Got to my destination and removed all of the round tubing from the inner window seals.
- Drive home was good. Definitely muted the cabin a bit and eliminated all wind noise I could hear on the driver windows up to 80mph. Solid feeling. Less road noise too.
- With the reduced noise, now I can make out slight wind noise above my head, but it's not a big deal. This is the "rabbit hole".
I'd recommend you start ONLY with the cabin side L seals and test before moving on with the others.
