Halloween Mode NOT WORKING?

Oddly, it now works fine! And I just switched my phone from connecting to my 5G WiFi to 2.4g WiFi. But not sure why this would matter

Mine did not work at first either. Then I realized that my phone was connected to my Rivian's hotspot wifi not my home wifi. Once I forced my phone over to my home wifi it worked totally fine. I did a soft reboot on the Rivian, opened and closed the app multiple times, etc. before I decided to check that. That said, it's not all that great. My son enjoyed it as usual, but it was a few minutes of flipping through it and then we were done. I haven't noticed if the driver display changes people and bicyclists or not, but that was honestly my families favorite part usually. I don't care about the costumes. I did have the bog frog lock on and that caught me off guard when I arrived at work because I forgot I made that setting change. I am used to the owl hoot all day every day.

Service said it should "just start working soon" and mine is now working. No updates to .38 or Rivian app.. I assume it's tied to their ability to shut off said feature come 11/1 automagically.

We had ours updated at the service center yesterday and it works perfect on our G2 except the interior volume slider is very slow to respond. I'm wondering if we received a revised version. Wife and I both love it.

They never have and many have asked. It’s a religious holiday and a slippery slope. Other religious holidays would be expected to be observed. Where would they draw the line? Plus, what started as an innocent, unexpected and fun Halloween bonus in ‘22 has now turned into annual entitlement whine-fest over pace of deployment and quality of content. This thread alone is proof: they‘ve created more than enough trouble for themselves and don’t make a dime from it. If people get this contentious about Halloween, imagine how much worse it could be over religious denominations and traditions. That’s a mine field of controversy Rivian doesn’t need.

Halloween Mode was kinda weak this year anyways so you aren’t missing out on much. Was fun for about 5 minutes then we were done…

So Halloween mode just started working on both vehicles. Works every time we try now.

But the actual mode is not as good as years past. I love the toad lock though.

While I'm tempted to complain about consistently getting the OTA updates well after they initially roll out - it was 10/29 for the Holloween update last year for example - there is a benefit to being among the last: I rarely have the issues that those who get the updates earlier often report.

I've started intentionally delaying update installation. I just wish there was a way to snooze them - the constant nagging to update is annoying. I don't want to risk any possible bug or glitch caused by a Halloween update that I don't care about, so waiting until Nov to install this one.
