Under app permissions I noticed it asked for photos and calendar permissions now in the new update

I have new app working. Don’t see Photos in App Permissions. Maybe that will be added if I add content to a service chat.

Reboot your phone. This happened to me in a previous app update

For iPhone just force quit the app and relaunch it, you don’t have to reboot the phone. You will see the pop up.

1-Apple Music is coming with the next vehicle update (guessing within the next week or so).
2-The app is usually updated first to support new vehicle changes.
3-Thsy added an Apple Music trial notification (guessing agreement with Apple) to support/make aware of new functionality.

So how would this be misleading? (Honest curiosity)

For one, I’ll bet there’s more than 1 post on here from someone who signs up and then posts that they can’t get their new Apple Music to work on their car. ?

Also now the trials don’t align - obviously not an issue for existing subscribers but it’s a weird experience for a new subscriber to have your music service trial expire before the cars connect + trial expires…just doesn’t seem fully thought through.

ETA: If it’s just a service switch that’s flipped with no download, it’s less an issue but still will have off timing, even if by days to a week. Could have just made it part of the on screen at the time of enablement, would have had the same effect for take rate.

Also, in the off chance it does require an actual download, we know that takes weeks, so there’s a more significant delay.

All minor, but odd.

You could (assuming the update rolls out in the next week or so) start your apple music trial today, try it on your phone and other devices until it's available in the Rivian, and still have time available after your Connect+ expires if you choose not to upgrade.

Yes, you will be able to use your current credentials for your account.

It's even more broken than the prior app.

1) Charging screen doesn't show charge rate anymore. The widget still shows charge rate.
2) Charge history still shows the worthless "Km added" statistic. All I care is KwH.

They can't even fix the old bugs without adding new ones.

What type of phone, software version? Tried restarting your phone? Tried reinstalling the app? I am not seeing an issue with #1

And kilometers is a pain but you can see KWh in the details.

I chuckle at the little things that ruin people’s day.
