What the Puck, I got the whole set from Jack puck, the magnetic ones and I think if I had to use a tire shop my chances are better having all 4. The service techs want to lift the whole vehicle at once, 4 needed. As well the magnetic feature ensures best alignment of the puck and the puck not shifting. The techs may not get the screws out of the removeable panels or not put all the screws back in. I will consider myself lucky they can/will snap the pucking hole covers back in place correctly.

I ordered a set of 4 jack pucks for around $150. Those plastic panels are difficult to remove and the retaining clips are easily broken. Having to replace just one of these panels will cost more than a nice set of jack pucks.

People have reported breaking the clips upon removal of the plastic covers.. and we know how easy (not!) it is to get replacement parts from Rivian. Also, at some point you or your tire shop will need to rotate the tires and either you or they will need the pucks.
I would definitely avoid using the Panel Removal option. I removed mine for the install of the Running boards and can confirm those clips are begging to break if you have to remove them a few times. Not to mention the process of crawling under to do it is a PITA. 100% get the pucks.

This is the sentiment from most of our customers. Get a kit and that makes it easy for tire techs or DIY people to get it right. We're starting to supply quite a few of the smaller chains and independent tire dealers, as our customers come in with the pucks we build and they rave over them.

We just went over the 4,500 mark in shipped Magnetic Jack Pucks and are out of Radiant Red, but we will be shipping those this coming Wednesday. Rivian Yellow is fully in stock and ready to go.
