I'm personally glad there are those out there warped enough to say they like this.

Seriously, though. I think it's great we have the options we do, and I applaud Rivian for making the effort to keep things fresh with holiday treats in our updates. This one may not be for me, but if it's for you, then Go You!

I left on a trip shortly before the latest update, so the fun winter holiday stuff was all waiting for me when I got home on the 30th. Naturally, I wanted to try out the new lock sound...

Is it just me, or does the "festive" jingle door lock sound like it belongs on the set of a horror movie? Every time I hear it I picture sharp knives and shower curtains.

I managed to tolerate it for a couple days, which was a couple days longer than I should have. If I had to use one word to describe it, that word would be creepy. It's not scary, per se, but it is downright creepy. Finally today I was done with it and it was back to the owl - which is sooooo much nicer.

Am I the only one? I don't think I've seen any other posts about it, so maybe others like it - but it's not for me!

On the plus side, I don't feel like I missed out on a fun limited-time seasonal sound effect that arrived while I was out of town.

Didn't have time to try the jingle, and I am a humble at Christmas. But wanted to add that after a few weeks with a 2025 R1T, I have convinced there is an owl living in our attic.
