Most expensive drawer option but probably the best on the market right now, even if you could buy the OEM drawer from Rivian. The finger print ones I've seen are similar price but whats the point if anyone can unlock/remove from the touchscreen. I waited until the black friday/month price, but I do have this drawer now and it is solid and more clean than most 3d printed stuff.
That looks nice.....does it rattle at all?

No, very tight fit. I was almost concerned after 30 seconds it wasn't going to fit in there, but with enough force and a little less concern, it went in. You can adjust the resistance of the pull out brackets for the drawer according to something I saw in their video, but I did not bother.

This is indeed a beautiful solution. If someone is looking for a cheaper option without the rails, we have that:

I made a 3d printed drawer that's lockable, and also let's you tap the power from the vehicle.....

It's not complicated, though I think I might need to refine the tolerances a bit, it's a little tight right now.

This is some super experimental stuff, and I like it. Too risky for me though, or at least the powered PCB part... The reason I like the one I bought for now is that resin printing seems to provide much smoother surfaces and the rails do help it stay possible to open when the dock is locked. For a more quick and affordable solution, TWRAPS seems to have it covered.

If Rivian plans to have a drawer in that spot for R1/2/3x (and is reading this forum) then engineering a drawer that optionally unlocks by specific car key(s) would be useful, cool, and probably less engineering than they initially put into the camp speaker.

Just to provide perspective based on my experience...
We have resin printers too (FormLabs Form 3) but only use them for one product - the frunk hooks. Initially had high expectations but there are a bunch of issues with them (not the printers per se). Namely:
1. It's super duper expensive compared to FDM. Both material wise ($100 per liter vs $15 per kg) and time wise. Resin also requires a good amount of IPA and time to cure + manual processing (labor). There is the cost to properly dispose of used IPA too (or buy a machine to recycle it on premises).
2. Resin materials at least for our printers are either beautiful but just decorative or engineering but ugly. What that means is that if I go with black resin, the product may melt in the interior. On top of it it's brittle. If I go with strong resin that's thermally stable at normal interior temperatures for summer in Arizona for example, then the end result is pretty ugly as those resins are generally not made to be pretty.

I suspect there is a big world of resins out there that I haven't explored since Form3 is limited to their our resins (unless you pay a hefty fee to unlock it), but overall resin is more expensive for various reasons.

Interesting...I'll have to see how this one holds up. Though, I mainly plan to use the drawer for Winter and replace it again with camp speaker in the "nice months" of Michigan.

Nice work on the PCB and tapping into the power that is available in the docking port. I could see a common use of that power would be to add a 12V socket to the front of the printed tray and then just run its power leads to PCB at the back of the tray. You could do that to add a 12V outlet to a Rivian that didn't come with the factory outlet under the dash and not have to actually modify the vehicle, not that modifications are necessarily a bad thing.
