I’ve got mine in for service and I’ll keep you posted on the diagnosis! Interestingly some of the noises I’m in for service for I can also hear in the loaner R1T. But not nearly as bad, and not focused on one wheel like mine currently is on gen2 R1S.

For what it’s worth my 2022 R1T had a very similar clunking noise any time I encountered a slight bump in the road. It was most noticeable at low speeds and when it was cold. Took it to 2 different service centers and for test drives with the techs. They inspected everything and said it was a normal gen 1 suspension noise coming from the dampers. About a month ago I took it in for the rear toe link recall and while in service the hydraulic pump failed. They replaced all 4 dampers, pump and valve with the gen 2 suspension retrofit. I would say it solved 99% of the clunking noise.
I have wondered several times if it's an "fluid hammer" sort of condition from the hydraulic lines not being bled well, then "chattering" when the load reverses within the line. Similar to what you get in a house that has long runs from the water heater to the faucet and you shut it off abruptly.

Your experience would somewhat confirm that.

I sent this suggestion to my service guy. Hopefully he doesn't take it as an insult that I'm making the suggestion, I just want my vehicle back after only having it for 2 weeks.

Good luck. Mines been in 4 times for this sound with no resolution.

Clearly the wheels not going to fall off, but it sounds terrible considering the price point!

Picking mine up Saturday - hood realignment and the noise in front right suspension. Over the phone the tech said it was a “loose nut” that was causing one of the pressurized lines to be rubbing against something over bumps. I will let you know if it is indeed fixed…
