Picked up today!!! Amazingly got a text that it was ready on 8/22, so it was less than 4 weeks to go from VIN assigned in Normal to pickup in PDX. We are beyond thrilled, we āsettledā on AT dark wheels in the shop (wanted staples) with limestone/BM and the combo looks incredible. My wife and I are already fighting over who gets to drive it, itās replacing her Atlas and I got an Ioniq 5 while I waited for the Rivian to deliver (also a great car). So thrilled with the experience and the amazing feeling of driving a lighting fast tank.

Just took delivery earlier today it was 20 days from vin assignment to delivery. The vehicle was in town on the 18th though and I work very close to the service center so I probably drove by 10 times to look at it I was so excited.

Grabbed 199xx VIN from the shop yesterday. White/OC with 22ā dark wheels. Scheduled to arrive at Brooklyn SC in about 2 weeks. Stoked!

We also purchased from the shop with a vin in the 19,000, wondering is that vin just for R1S or both R1T and R1S?

Short answer: just for R1S.
An R1T with a VIN serial number (last 6 digits) of 020XXX would have been manufactured in January or February of '23. See this R1T thread for an example. The 4th digit of a Rivian VIN is T for an R1T and S for an R1S. There can be a T and an S with the same last 6 digits, but the entire 17-digit VIN will not be duplicated. (More details are in this thread.) At the factory, the last 6 digits are incremented independently for T's and S's.

Dec ā21 reservation. Got an email around Tuesday night last week that it was time to lock our configuration. Next day I got a call saying that our exact model was at our service center and if we confirmed our configuration we could have it next (this week). Picking up Saturday with a 17xxx VIN.
Kind of weird because Iāve followed Reddit/this forum a bit and havenāt seen it go so quickly so I have to imagine someone bailed on their reservation last minute? Or rejected car (hopefully not but who knows).

Lots of reasons - I'd say financing falling thru and/or changing needs, cold feet are probably more likely than a straight up car rejection. I'd be optimistic until you see the car

Thanks! Youāre probably right, I think my wife and I are in our heads.
